Anil Kumar Parhi (born 9 April 1969) is an Indian writer, novelist, short-story writer, poet, critic, and academic, writing primarily in the Odia language. He is regarded as a significant contemporary voice in Odia literature, known for his prolific output and sustained engagement with psychological, social, and moral concerns of modern life in Odisha.
Parhi has published extensively across genres, including short-story collections, novels, poetry, and literary criticism. His fiction frequently explores themes such as alienation, desire, ethical conflict, social displacement, and the tensions between tradition and modernity. Alongside his literary career, he has been active as a teacher and mentor.
He currently serves as Reader and Head of the Department of English at Kunjabihari Mahavidyalaya, Barang, Khordha, Odisha, and lives in Bhubaneswar
ଅନୀଲ କୁମାର ପାଢ଼ୀ (ଜନ୍ମ: ୯ ଅପ୍ରେଲ ୧୯୬୯) ଜଣେ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଗାଳ୍ପିକ, ଔପନ୍ୟାସିକ ଓ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭକାର । ସେ ୧୪ଟି ଗଳ୍ପ ସଂକଳନ, ୫ଟି ଉପନ୍ୟାସ, ଗୋଟିଏ କବିତା ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ପ୍ରବନ୍ଧ ସଂକଳନର ରଚୟିତା ।
ସେ ୧୯୬୯ ମସିହାରେ ବାଲେଶ୍ୱର ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ସୋର ଅନ୍ତର୍ଗତ ଜଡ଼ିଦାଠାରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ସେ ଉତ୍କଳ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ ଇଂରାଜୀରେ ସ୍ନାତକ ଓ ହାଇଦ୍ରାବାଦ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ବିଶ୍ୱବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ ଏମଫିଲ୍ କରିଥିଲେ । ସେ ସାହିତ୍ୟିକା ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷାବିଦ ମମତାମୟୀ ଚୌଧୁରୀଙ୍କୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ ।
ସେ ବୃତ୍ତିରେ ଜଣେ ଶିକ୍ଷାବିତ୍ । ସେ ବାରଙ୍ଗର କୁଞ୍ଜବିହାରୀ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଇଂରାଜୀ ବିଭାଗରେ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧ୍ୟାପକ ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରତ ।
