Kabiraj Laxman Mishra (21 January 1900 - 26 January 1989) was a herbal medicine expert from Odisha, India. He had written books like Sahaja Chikitsa, Ghara Baida, Bishalyakarani, Sankramak Roga Chikitsa, which are quite popular in Odisha.
He was born on 21 January 1900 to Dayanidhi Mishra and Padma Devi at Bira Pratappur Shasan, Puri. He had studied from the Satyabadi Bana Bidyalaya established by Utkalamani Gopabandu Das. After finishing education from there, he completed graduation from Revensa College, Cuttack.
After completing graduation, he joined police service in 1924. He served to Indian Police Service (IPS) for last 11 years and worked as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in some districts of Odisha. He retired from service in 1958.
After his retirement from the police service, he joined Puri Jagannath Temple as the Administrator in 1961 and worked till 1965. Apart from this, he had served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors in Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Samanta Chandrashekhar College of Puri.
While pursuing his education at Satyabadi Bana Bidyalaya, he was a student of Acharya Harihar was highly influenced by him toward medical service. Allopathic treatment is always expensive. For this reason, he started following Charaka Sanhita, Sushruta Sanhita, and the books by Indian Ayurvedic Scholars. He started experiment on different plant and wrote a number of books on easy Ayurvedic treatment at home.

କବିରାଜ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମଣ ମିଶ୍ର (୨୧ ଜାନୁଆରୀ ୧୯୦୦ - ୨୬ ଜାନୁଆରୀ ୧୯୮୯) ଜଣେ ଜଣାଶୁଣା ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବିରାଜ ଥିଲେ । ସେ ଆୟୁରବେଦ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ସହଜ ଚିକିତ୍ସା, ଘର ବଇଦ, ବିଶଲ୍ୟକରଣୀ, ସଂକ୍ରାମକ ରୋଗ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ଆଦି ବହି ଲେଖିଥିଲେ, ଯାହାକି ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧିଲାଭ କରିଛି ।
ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମଣ ମିଶ୍ର ୧୯୦୦ ମସିହାର ଜାନୁଆରୀ ୨୧ ତାରିଖରେ ପୁରୀ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବୀର ପ୍ରତାପପୁର ଶାସନରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ତାଙ୍କ ବାପାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଦୟାନିଧି ମିଶ୍ର ଓ ମାଆଙ୍କ ନାମ ପଦ୍ମା ଦେବୀ । ଉତ୍କଳମଣି ଗୋପବନ୍ଧୁ ଦାସଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ସତ୍ୟବାଦୀ ବନ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରୁ ପଢ଼ା ଶେଷ କରିବା ପରେ ସେ ରେଭେନ୍ସା କଲେଜରେ ସ୍ନାତକ କରିଥିଲେ ।
ସ୍ନାତକ ପରେ ୧୯୨୪ ମସିହାରେ ସେ ପୋଲିସ୍ ବିଭାଗରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ସେ ୧୧ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ଭାରତୀୟ ପୋଲିସ୍ ସେବା ଅଧିକାରୀ ଭାରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଥିଲେ । କିଛି ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଅରକ୍ଷୀ ଅଧିକ୍ଷକ ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବା ପରେ ୧୯୫୮ ମସିହାରେ ସେ ଚାକିରୀରୁ ଅବସର ନେଇଥିଲେ ।
ପୋଲିସ୍ ଚାକିରୀରୁ ଅବସର ନେବା ପରେ ସେ ୧୯୬୧ ମସିହାରେ ପୁରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିରର ପ୍ରଶାସକ ଭାବରେ ଯୋଗ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ୧୯୬୫ ମସିହା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଏହି ଦାୟିତ୍ୱରେ ଥିଲେ ।
ସତ୍ୟବାଦୀ ବନ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ପଢ଼ିବାବେଳେ ସେ ଆଚାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହରିହରଙ୍କ ଛାତ୍ର ଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେରଣାରେ ରୋଗୀ ସେବା ପ୍ରତି ଆକୃଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଥିଲେ । ଏଲୋପାଥିକ ଚିକିତ୍ସା ବ୍ୟୟବହୁଳ ଥିବାରୁ ସେ ଚରକ, ଶୁଶ୍ରୁତ ସଂହିସା ପଢ଼ିବା ସହିତ ଭାରତୀୟ ଆୟୁର୍ବେଦ ବିଜ୍ଞାନୀଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକ ଆଦି ପଢ଼ିଥିଲେ ଏବଂ ଏହାକୁ ଆଧାର କରି ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପରେ ଆୟୁର୍ବେଦ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ କିଛି ଉପାଦେୟ ପୁସ୍ତକ ରଚନା କରିଥିଲେ ।
